Punya Tithi of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia

The death anniversary of  Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia was observed of 25-01-2012 at College of Agriculture, Khandwa. On this occassion, a symposium was held  in which students shared their views. The programme was chaired by the Dean of the college, Dr P.P. Shastry and was organised by M.K. Kureel, Asst Prof Horticulture.

The result of the competition was as follows -

Conclusion of Indoor Games Extravaganza

Intercollegiate Indoor games tournament of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior, (M.P.) was held at the College of Agriculture, Khandwa from 22nd of October to 24th of October 2010 in which all the five campus of the university (Gwalior, Indore, Sehore, Mandasaur and Khandwa) participated in 4 indoor events viz, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess.
The opening ceremony was held at the lush green lawn of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The chief guest of the function was the respected MLA of Khandwa Shri Devendra Verma, who himself is a national volley ball player of his times. The chairman of the ceremony was Dean of the college Dr P.P. Shastry. Special guest was University Sports and Games Incharge Dr S.K. Trivedi. Sh M.K. Kureel, Officer in-charge Sports and games was the secretary of the function. The opening speech was given by Dr P.P shastry and vote of thanks was given by Sh M.K. Kureel.

On the first day, opening match of Table tennis was arranged. The match was between the teams of College of Agriculture, Khandwa and College of Agriculture, Mandasaur, in which College of Agriculture, Khandwa became the proud winner. Similarly matches of Badminton, Carrom and Chess also took place.

The sequence of winning and loosing continued for 2 more days until the Doom's Day i.e., 24th of October came, which was the concluding day in which all the final matches had to be played.

The final result were as follows:-

1. Chess (Girls) Winner - Neha Bhatele (Khandwa), Runner - Deeksha Dhurvey (Khandwa)

2. Chess (Boys) Winner - Sachin pachori (Mandasaur) Runner - Yashbardhan (Indore)

3. Carrom (Girls) Winner - COA Gwalior Runner - COA Khandwa

4. Carrom (Boys) Winner - COA Indore Runner - COA Khandwa

5. Table Tennis (Girls) Winner - COA Gwalior Runner - COA Indore

6. Table Tennis (Boys) Winner - COA Indore Runner - COA Khandwa

7. Badminton (Girls) Winner - COA Indore Runner - COA Gwalior

8. Badminton (Boys) Winner - COA Khandwa Runner - COA Mandasaur

Presence of Dr V.S. Tomar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of the University added glory to the prize distribution and closing ceremony of the sports extravaganza. He addressed the participants and encouraged them. Special guests of the ceremony were Dr rajeev Saxena, registrar of the University and Dr S.P.S. Tomar, Dean, Student welfare. Dr P.P. Shastry, Dean was the chairperson and Dr M.K. Kureel was the Secretary of the closing ceremony.
